     James Macdonald was the son of Alexander ‘Mor’ Macdonald, 1st of Boisdale and Anne Macneil.² He married Christina Macleod, daughter of Donald ‘Old Trojan’ Macleod and Margaret Macleod.¹ He died on 18 June 1857.¹
     He was Major Macdonald Regiment.¹ Inverness-shire.¹ He lived Askernish.¹

     David Mortimer married Elizabeth Doreward, daughter of Ellis Doreward.¹

     Christina Macleod was the daughter of Donald ‘Old Trojan’ Macleod and Margaret Macleod.^2,3 She married James Macdonald, son of Alexander ‘Mor’ Macdonald, 1st of Boisdale and Anne Macneil.¹ She died circa 6 July 1835. She was buried on 9 July 1835.
     Her married name became Macdonald.

     Alexander Macdonald was the son of James Macdonald and Christina Macleod.² He died on 9 June 1837, in the lifetime of the father unm.¹
