Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk1 
He saw three sons die in the Civil War.2 As a staunch supporter of King Charles I, he lost his estates, forcibly purchased by John Ker.2 He built Nisbet House.2 He held the office of Representative at Scots Parliament in 1630, for Berkwickshire.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Berwickshire in 1633.2 In 1641 he was deprived of office by Covenanters (party hostile to King Charles I’s episcopalian church government.)2

Sir Patrick Hepburn of Whitecastle1 
He was one of the ‘Ruthven Raiders.3‘ He lived at Nunraw, East Lothian, Scotland.4 On 26 August 1582 at Perth, Perthshire, Scotland, he signed the ‘secret band’ after King James VI was retained at Ruthven Castle.3
