     Lt.-Col. Stuart Low was born on 1 December 1888.¹ He was the son of Sir Austin Low and Mary Stephanie Jay.¹ He married Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin, daughter of James Richard Atkin, Baron Atkin and Lucy Elizabeth Hemmant, on 19 July 1913.¹ He married, secondly, Phyllis Lacey Falk after 1930.¹ He and Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin were divorced before 1935.² He died on 10 December 1942 at age 54, as a result of enemy action at sea.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Garrison Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)³ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was Chairman of Grindlays Bank.¹

     Elizabeth Hammersley was born in 1825.² She was the daughter of Charles Hammersley and Emily Poulett-Thomson.^1,2 She married William Henry Baring, son of William Baring and Frances Poulett-Thomson, on 21 April 1849.^3,4 She died on 6 November 1897.^3,4
     Her married name became Baring.

     Charles Hammersley was born in 1782.² He was the son of Thomas Hammersley and Anne Greenwood.² He married Emily Poulett-Thomson, daughter of John Buncombe-Poulett-Thomson.² He died in 1862.²

     Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin was the daughter of James Richard Atkin, Baron Atkin and Lucy Elizabeth Hemmant.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Stuart Low, son of Sir Austin Low and Mary Stephanie Jay, on 19 July 1913.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Stuart Low were divorced before 1935.² She married, secondly, Major George Edward Shelley, son of George Ernest Shelley and Janet Andrewes, on 6 July 1935.² She and Major George Edward Shelley were divorced in 1941.³ She died on 22 August 1957.¹
     From 19 July 1913, her married name became Low.¹ From 6 July 1935, her married name became Shelley.²

     Charles Stuart Low was born on 2 February 1916.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Stuart Low and Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin.¹ He married Rosemarie Heidecker, daughter of Hugo Heidecker, on 6 October 1953.¹ He and Rosemarie Heidecker were divorced in 1963.¹ He died in July 1986 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Grays Inn in 1961 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹

     Rosemarie Heidecker was the daughter of Hugo Heidecker.¹ She married Charles Stuart Low, son of Lt.-Col. Stuart Low and Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin, on 6 October 1953.¹ She and Charles Stuart Low were divorced in 1963.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 6 October 1953, her married name became Low.¹

     Hugo Heidecker lived.¹

     Peter Michael Stuart Low was born on 12 March 1958.¹ He is the son of Charles Stuart Low and Rosemarie Heidecker.¹ He married Lele Shannon in March 1986.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He lived at Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Lele Shannon married Peter Michael Stuart Low, son of Charles Stuart Low and Rosemarie Heidecker, in March 1986.¹
     From March 1986, her married name became Low.¹

     Gwen Mary Patience Low was born on 28 May 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Stuart Low and Hon. Lucy Gwen Atkin.¹ She married, firstly, Henry Lewis Whitworth-Jones, son of Lt.-Col. Seymour Whitworth-Jones and Eleanor Pavitt, on 7 July 1938.¹ She and Henry Lewis Whitworth-Jones were divorced in 1951.¹ She married, secondly, Denis Hemmant Rolleston Martin, son of Arthur Wilfred Martin, on 31 March 1953.¹
     From 7 July 1938, her married name became Whitworth-Jones.¹ From 31 March 1953, her married name became Martin.¹ She lived in 1999 at 2 Mulberry Fields, Loop Street, Sandwich, Kent, England^G.¹
