     He was educated at Diocesan College, Rondebosch, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ He was educated at Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1962 with a Doctor of Medicine (D.M.)¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.)¹ He lived in 1999 at 16 London Road, Lichfield, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Rachel Elizabeth Youard is the daughter of Geoffrey Bernard Youard and Hon. Rosaline Joan Atkin.¹ She married Denis Dunbar Gibbs, son of Very Reverend Michael McCausland Gibbs and Edith Marjorie Ward, on 11 April 1953.¹
     Her married name became Gibbs.
