Sir John Pole, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 June 1649.3 He was the son of Sir Courtenay Pole, 2nd Bt. and Ureth Shapcote. He married Anne Morice, daughter of Sir William Morice.3 He died on 13 March 1707/8 at age 58.3
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lyme Regis between 1685 and 1687.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lyme Regis in 1689/90.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Pole, of Shute House, Devonshire [E., 1628] circa 10 April 1695.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bossiney between 1698 and 1700.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Loo between 1702 and 1705.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon in 1701/2.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newport Cornwall between 1705 and 1708.3
