     Margaret Bulkeley was the daughter of Francis Bulkeley.¹ She married Sir Coplestone Bamfylde, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Bamfylde, 1st Bt. and Gertrude Coplestone.² She died after November 1657.¹
     Her married name became Bamfylde.¹

     Francis Bulkeley lived at Burgate, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Jane Pole was born circa 1654.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Courtenay Pole, 2nd Bt. and Ureth Shapcote.¹ She married Sir Coplestone Bamfylde, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Bamfylde, 1st Bt. and Gertrude Coplestone, circa 21 October 1674 at Houghton, Devon, England^G.^1,2 She married, secondly, Edward Gibbons after 1710.¹ She died circa September 1710.¹ Her will (dated 2 September 1710) was proven (by probate) on 5 October 1710.¹
     From 21 October 1674, her married name became Bamfylde.¹ From after 1710, her married name became Gibbons.¹

     Edward Gibbons married Jane Pole, daughter of Sir Courtenay Pole, 2nd Bt. and Ureth Shapcote, after 1710.¹
     He lived at Whitechapel, Devon, England^G.¹

     Colonel Hugh Bamfylde was born circa 1663.¹ He was the son of Sir Coplestone Bamfylde, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Bulkeley.¹ He married Mary Clifford, daughter of James Clifford.² He died on 16 June 1691, in the lifetime of the father by a fall from his horse.^1,2
     He lived at Wareley, Devon, England^G.¹

     Sir Coplestone Warwick Bamfylde, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1690.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hugh Bamfylde and Mary Clifford.¹ He married Gertrude Carew, daughter of Sir John Carew, 3rd Bt. and Mary Morice, before 1718.¹ He died on 7 October 1727.¹ He was buried on 14 October 1727 at Poltimore, Devon, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bamfylde, of Poltimore, co. Devon [E., 1641] on 9 February 1691/92.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 28 January 1707/8.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Exeter between 1710 and 1713.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon between 1713 and 1727.¹

     Mary Clifford is the daughter of James Clifford.¹ She married Colonel Hugh Bamfylde, son of Sir Coplestone Bamfylde, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Bulkeley.²
     Her married name became Bamfylde.²

     James Clifford lived at Kingsteignton, Devon, England^G.¹

     Gertrude Carew was born in 1682.² She was the daughter of Sir John Carew, 3rd Bt. and Mary Morice.^1,3 She married, firstly, Sir Godfrey Copley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Godfrey Copley, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Walmesley, circa 1700.^3,4 She married, secondly, Sir Coplestone Warwick Bamfylde, 3rd Bt., son of Colonel Hugh Bamfylde and Mary Clifford, before 1718.¹ She died on 14 April 1736.¹ She was buried on 23 April 1736 at Poltimore, Devon, England^G.¹
     From circa 1700, her married name became Copley.³ From before 1718, her married name became Bamfylde.¹

     Sir Godfrey Copley, 2nd Bt. was born although either this date, his mother, or his mother’s death date is incorrect circa 1653.² He was the son of Sir Godfrey Copley, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Walmesley.^3,4 He married, firstly, Catherine Purcell, daughter of John Purcell, in 1681.⁵ He married, secondly, Gertrude Carew, daughter of Sir John Carew, 3rd Bt. and Mary Morice, circa 1700.^1,2 He died on 9 April 1709 at Red Lion Square, London, England^G, from quinsy, without surviving male issue.³
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Copley, of Sprotborough, co. Yorks [E., 1661] in February 1677/78.⁵ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)⁵ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) and founder of the Copley Medal.⁵ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.⁵
