Nicholas Tufton, 3rd Earl of Thanet1 
In 1655 he was imprisoned in the Tower of London (and again 1656-8) for an alleged conspiracy to capture King Charles II.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 6 May 1664.4 He gained the rank of Captain of Horse in 1666.3 He succeeded as the 15th Lord Clifford [E., 1299] on 14 October 1678, de jure.1

Elizabeth Dashwood was born in 1741 at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 She was the daughter of Sir James Dashwood, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Spencer.4 She married George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester, son of Robert Montagu, 3rd Duke of Manchester and Harriet Dunch, on 23 October 1762 at St. Georges Hanover Square, Westminster, London, EnglandG.3 She died on 26 June 1832.1
From 23 October 1762, her married name became Montagu. After her marriage, Elizabeth Dashwood was styled as Duchess of Manchester on 23 October 1762.

Florence Faith Dening was born on 20 December 1875.3,4 She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Henry Trickey Dening and Florence Cole O’Halloran.1,3 She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Hugh Richard Dawnay, 8th Viscount Downe, son of William Henry Dawnay, 7th Viscount Downe and Mary Isabel Bagot, on 27 July 1911.5 She married, secondly, Reverend Arthur Maxwell Bury on 15 April 1931.1 She died on 23 January 1958 at age 82.1
From 27 July 1911, her married name became Dawnay. After her marriage, Florence Faith Dening was styled as Viscountess Downe on 27 July 1911. From 15 April 1931, her married name became Bury. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire.1

Reverend Thomas Henry Trickey Dening was born on 8 April 1842.2 He was the son of John Dening and Anne Salter.2 He was baptised on 13 May 1842 at St. Mary’s Church, Ottery St. Mary, Devon, England.2 He married, firstly, Emma Geraldine Henrietta Hooper on 2 October 1868.3 He married, secondly, Florence Cole O’Halloran, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Dunn O’Halloran and Charlotte Eliza Robertson, on 6 November 1873 at St. Luke’s, South Lyncombe, Bath, Somerset, England.3,2 He died on 20 February 1927 at age 84 at West Derby, Lancashire, England.2
