     William Walter Legge, 5th Earl of Dartmouth was born on 12 August 1823.² He was the son of William Legge, 4th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Frances Charlotte Chetwynd-Talbot.¹ He married Lady Augusta Finch, daughter of Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford and Lady Augusta Sophia Greville, on 9 June 1846.² He died on 4 August 1891 at age 67.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Staffordshire between 1849 and 1853.² He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire.² He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Lewisham, of co. Kent [G.B., 1711] on 22 November 1853.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baron Dartmouth, of Dartmouth, Devon [E., 1682] on 22 November 1853.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Dartmouth [G.B., 1711] on 22 November 1853.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 1st Volunteer Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment.²

     Lady Augusta Finch was the daughter of Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford and Lady Augusta Sophia Greville.¹ She married William Walter Legge, 5th Earl of Dartmouth, son of William Legge, 4th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Frances Charlotte Chetwynd-Talbot, on 9 June 1846.¹ She died on 1 December 1900.¹
     Her married name became Legge. After her marriage, Lady Augusta Finch was styled as Countess of Dartmouth on 22 November 1853.

     Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford was born on 24 April 1786.¹ He was the son of Heneage Finch, 4th Earl of Aylesford and Lady Louisa Thynne.¹ He was baptised on 25 May 1786 at St. James’s, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He married Lady Augusta Sophia Greville, daughter of George Greville, 2nd Earl of Warwick and Henrietta Vernon, on 23 April 1821 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He died on 3 January 1859 at age 72 at Packington, Warwickshire, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 19 April 1804.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1807 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Lady Augusta Sophia Greville was the daughter of George Greville, 2nd Earl of Warwick and Henrietta Vernon.^2,1 She married Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford, son of Heneage Finch, 4th Earl of Aylesford and Lady Louisa Thynne, on 23 April 1821 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 2 March 1845 at Packington, Warwickshire, England^G.¹
     After her marriage, Lady Augusta Sophia Greville was styled as Countess of Aylesford on 23 April 1821. From 23 April 1821, her married name became Finch.

     William Heneage Legge, 6th Earl of Dartmouth was born on 6 May 1851.³ He was the son of William Walter Legge, 5th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Augusta Finch.¹ He married Lady Mary Coke, daughter of Thomas William Coke, 2nd Earl of Leicester of Holkham and Juliana Whitbread, on 18 December 1879.³ He died on 11 March 1936 at age 84.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Lady Mary Coke was born in 1849. She was the daughter of Thomas William Coke, 2nd Earl of Leicester of Holkham and Juliana Whitbread.^1,2 She married William Heneage Legge, 6th Earl of Dartmouth, son of William Walter Legge, 5th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Augusta Finch, on 18 December 1879.¹ She died on 28 December 1929.¹
     Her married name became Legge. After her marriage, Lady Mary Coke was styled as Countess of Dartmouth on 4 August 1891. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Roma Ernestine Horlick was born on 25 November 1903. She was the daughter of Sir Ernest Burford Horlick, 2nd Bt. and Jane Shillaber Martin.^1,2 She married Humphrey Legge, 8th Earl of Dartmouth, son of William Heneage Legge, 6th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Mary Coke, on 10 April 1923.¹ She died on 18 August 2003 at age 99.³
     Her married name became Legge. After her marriage, Roma Ernestine Horlick was styled as Countess of Dartmouth on 28 February 1958. She lived in 2003 at 15B The Bedford Towers, Cavendish Place, Brighton, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Lady Charlotte Legge was born on 16 July 1963.¹ She is the daughter of Gerald Humphrey Legge, 9th Earl of Dartmouth and Raine McCorquodale.¹ She married Don Alessandro Paternò Castello, 13° Duca di Cárcaci, son of Don Gaetano Paternò Castello and Maria Regina Millington-Drake, on 19 December 1990.^1,2
     She lived in 2003 at 25 Holland Park Gardens, London, England^G.¹

     Lady Emma Herbert was born on 23 August 1819.² She was the daughter of General George Augustus Herbert, 11th Earl of Pembroke and Catherine Woronzow.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Thomas Vesey, 3rd Viscount de Vesci of Abbey Leix, son of John Vesey, 2nd Viscount de Vesci of Abbey Leix and Frances Letitia Brownlow, on 19 September 1839.³ She died on 10 October 1884 at age 65.³
     Her married name became Vesey. After her marriage, Lady Emma Herbert was styled as Viscountess de Vesci of Abbey Leix on 19 October 1855.

     Catherine Woronzow was born on 24 October 1783.³ She was the daughter of Semyon Romanovitch Woronzow, Count Woronzow.¹ She married General George Augustus Herbert, 11th Earl of Pembroke, son of Lt.-Gen. Henry Herbert, 10th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Elizabeth Spencer, on 25 January 1808.³ She died on 27 March 1856 at age 72.³
     From 25 January 1808, her married name became Herbert. After her marriage, Catherine Woronzow was styled as Countess of Pembroke on 25 January 1808.
