     Mary Dawnay was born on 15 April 1936.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Ronald Dawnay and Lady Elizabeth Katherine Grey.¹ She married Sir John Richard Walter Reginald Carew Pole, 13th Bt., son of Sir John Gawen Carew Pole, 12th Bt. and Cynthia Mary Burns, in 1974.²
     She was Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Anne in April 1970.¹ From 1974, her married name became Carew Pole.² She was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1983.² She was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1983.¹ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 2003. She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 2018.³

     W/Cdr. Michael Dawnay was born on 24 October 1912.¹ He was the son of Major Hon. Hugh Dawnay and Lady Susan de la Poer Beresford.¹ He married Julian Mary Brassey, daughter of Major Henry Leonard Campbell Brassey, 1st Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, on 28 March 1938.¹ He died on 19 March 1946 at age 33.¹
     He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Julian Mary Brassey was born in 1914.² She was the daughter of Major Henry Leonard Campbell Brassey, 1st Baron Brassey of Apethorpe.¹ She married W/Cdr. Michael Dawnay, son of Major Hon. Hugh Dawnay and Lady Susan de la Poer Beresford, on 28 March 1938.¹ She died in 1979.¹
     She was adopted by Major Henry Leonard Campbell Brassey, 1st Baron Brassey of Apethorpe.¹ Her married name became Dawnay.

     Patrick Julian Dawnay was born on 27 March 1939.¹ He was the son of W/Cdr. Michael Dawnay and Julian Mary Brassey.¹ He married Julie Katharine Olivier, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Herbert Olivier and Katharine Mary Jones, on 21 May 1966.¹ He died on 28 April 2020 at age 81.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Château Ragny, Tournay sur Odon, France^G.¹

     Romayne Julian Dawnay was born on 25 March 1940.¹ She is the daughter of W/Cdr. Michael Dawnay and Julian Mary Brassey.¹ She married Peter Rowland Timms in 1972.¹
     From 1972, her married name became Timms.¹

     Hon. Beryl Dawnay was born on 20 October 1873.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hugh Richard Dawnay, 8th Viscount Downe and Lady Cecilia Maria Charlotte Molyneux.¹ She married Sir Archibald Henry Campbell, son of George Augustus Campbell and Hon. Alice Barrington, on 11 June 1905.¹ She died on 28 December 1950 at age 77.¹
     Her married name became Campbell.

     Sir Archibald Henry Campbell was the son of George Augustus Campbell and Hon. Alice Barrington.¹ He married Hon. Beryl Dawnay, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hugh Richard Dawnay, 8th Viscount Downe and Lady Cecilia Maria Charlotte Molyneux, on 11 June 1905.¹ He died on 10 May 1948.¹
     He lived at Commonwood Lodge, Chipperfield, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Norah Dawnay was born on 15 October 1874.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hugh Richard Dawnay, 8th Viscount Downe and Lady Cecilia Maria Charlotte Molyneux.¹ She died on 27 June 1947 at age 72, unmarried.¹
     She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹

     Hon. Faith Dawnay was born on 25 December 1877.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hugh Richard Dawnay, 8th Viscount Downe and Lady Cecilia Maria Charlotte Molyneux.¹ She died on 15 July 1952 at age 74, unmarried.¹
     She fought in the First World War.¹ She was awarded the Medaille Reconnaissance Française.¹ She was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹

     Beatrice Villiers is the daughter of Sir John Villiers.¹ She married Sir John Bagot, son of Ralph Bagot and Elizabeth de Blithfield.¹
     Her married name became Bagot.¹
