     Lt.-Col. Edward Montagu was born on 20 February 1755.¹ He was the son of Admiral John Montagu and Sophia Wroughton.² He married Barbara Fleetwood, daughter of John Fleetwood, on 17 May 1792.¹ He died on 8 May 1799 at age 44, from wounds received in action.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel of Artillery in the East India Company Service.¹ He fought in the Mysore Campaign in 1799.³

     Barbara Fleetwood was the daughter of John Fleetwood.² She married Lt.-Col. Edward Montagu, son of Admiral John Montagu and Sophia Wroughton, on 17 May 1792.¹ She died on 3 June 1848.¹
     From 17 May 1792, her married name became Montagu.

     Edward Montagu was born on 7 July 1796.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Montagu and Barbara Fleetwood.² He died in 1830.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹

     Lady Ana Marie Montagu was the daughter of George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester and Elizabeth Dashwood.¹ She died on 12 April 1796.¹

     Nicholas Peter Earle Higgin married Emma Hermione Nicolson, daughter of Malise Allen Nicolson.¹
     He lived at Malpas, Cheshire, England.¹

     Jessy Worsley was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Edward Vaughan Worsley.² She married John Montagu, son of Lt.-Col. Edward Montagu and Barbara Fleetwood, on 7 August 1823.¹ She died on 3 November 1876.¹
     From 7 August 1823, her married name became Montagu. She and John Montagu emigrated to Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, arriving on May 1824 on board Adrian.³

     Lady Emily Montagu was the daughter of George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester and Elizabeth Dashwood.¹ She died on 21 April 1838.¹
     She was a housekeeper at Hampton Court Palace, Kingston-upon-Thames, London, England^G.¹

     Anna Maria Piers was the daughter of Major H. Piers.² She married John Edward Montagu, son of John Montagu and Jessy Worsley, on 6 January 1848.¹ She died on 11 November 1867.¹
     From 6 January 1848, her married name became Montagu.
