     Arthur Richard French was born on 12 April 1752.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Christopher French and Margarita Alberti.² He died in 1783, killed in action, unmarried.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 20 February 1789.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 88th Connaught Rangers.¹ He fought in the American War of Independence.¹

     Lt.-Col. John French was born on 22 June 1764.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Christopher French and Margarita Alberti.² He married Ann Story, daughter of Venerable Joseph Story, in June 1789.¹ He died in 1823.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Dragoon Guards.¹ He was a QMG under Murray in Holland.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 121st Foot.¹ He lived at Clonyquin, County Roscommon, Ireland^G.³

     Eleanor Plunkett married Henry Walter French, son of Henry French.¹
     Her married name became French.

     Sir James Horlick, 1st Bt. was born on 30 April 1844.¹ He was the son of James Horlick.² He married Margaret Adelaide Burford, daughter of William Burford, on 12 April 1873.¹ He died on 7 May 1921 at age 77.¹
     He was chairman and president of Horlicks Ltd.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gloucestershire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1902.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Horlick, of Cowley Manor, co. Gloucester [U.K.] on 18 July 1914.¹

     John French was born in 1792.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John French and Ann Story.^2,1 He died in 1793.¹

     Emily Olivia French was born on 8 May 1806.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John French and Ann Story.^2,1 She married, secondly, Commander James Caulfeild, son of Colonel William Caulfeild and Lucy Sanderson, in 1833.¹ She died on 23 January 1891 at age 84, without issue.¹
     From 1833, her married name became Caulfeild.

     Margaret French was born on 12 March 1794.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John French and Ann Story.^2,1 She died in June 1821 at age 27.¹

     Anna French was born on 12 July 1796.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John French and Ann Story.^2,1 She died in September 1816 at age 20.¹

     Frances Arabella French was born on 11 March 1800.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John French and Ann Story.^2,1 She married Reverend Thomas T. La Nauze.¹ She died, without issue.¹
     Her married name became La Nauze.
