Sir Graham Graham-Montgomery, 3rd Bt.1 

Sir Graham Graham-Montgomery, 3rd Bt. was born on 9 July 1823.3 He was the son of Sir James Montgomery, 2nd Bt. and Helen Graham.3 He married Alice Hope Johnstone, daughter of John James Hope Johnstone and Alicia Anne Gordon, on 10 April 1845.1 He died on 2 June 1901 at age 77.3
He was given the name of Graham Montgomery at birth.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Montgomery, of Stanhope, co. Peebles [U.K., 1801] on 27 May 1839.3 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peebles between 1852 and 1868.3 He held the office of Junior Lord of the Treasury between 1866 and 1868.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Selkirk and Peeblesshire between 1868 and 1880.3 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Peebles-shire.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Royal Company of Archers.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kinross-shire.3 He held the office of Junior Lord of the Treasury in 1880.3

Chester [U.K., 1859] on 21 February 1883.2 He was created 1st Earl Egerton of Tatton [U.K.] on 22 July 1897.2 He was created 1st Viscount Salford, co. Lancaster [U.K.] on 22 July 1897.2
On his death, the Earldom and Visocuntcy became extinct.2
