Major John Edward Hamilton Tollemache, 4th Baron Tollemache of Helmingham1 
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Reserve of Officers, Coldstream Guards.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.2 He was chairman of Tollemache’s Breweries Ltd, Star Brewery, Cambridge, G T Jones (Oxford) Ltd and Barwell and Sons (Norwich) Ltd.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Tollemache of Helmingham, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1876] on 13 January 1955.1 He was director of Tollemache and Cobbold Breweries Ltd, General Reinsurance Company, NRG Reinsurance Company Ltd and New London Reinsurance Company.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk in 1958.2
