     William Hamilton was born between 1691 and 1695.¹ He was the son of Hon. Basil Hamilton and Mary Dunbar of Baldoon.¹ He died circa November 1703.¹

     Lady Katherine Jane Douglas was born before 1820.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn.¹ She married Loftus Tottenham Wigram, son of Sir Robert Wigram, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Watts, on 23 January 1849.¹ She died on 30 September 1863, without issue.¹
     From 23 January 1849, her married name became Wigram.

     Loftus Tottenham Wigram was born on 6 November 1803.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Wigram, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Watts.^2,3 He married Lady Katherine Jane Douglas, daughter of Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk and Joan Wedderburn, on 23 January 1849.² He died on 19 September 1889 at age 85, without issue.¹
     He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cambridge between 1850 and 1859.¹

     Sir Robert Wigram, 1st Bt. was born on 30 January 1743.³ He was the son of John Wigram and Mary Clifford.⁴ He married, firstly, Catherine Brodhurst, daughter of Francis Brodhurst, on 19 December 1772.³ He married, secondly, Eleanor Watts, daughter of John Watts, on 23 June 1787.⁵ He died on 6 November 1830 at age 87.³
     He was a London druggist.³ He was partner of Blackwall Yark, Deptford.³ He was a shipbuilder.⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fowey between 1802 and 1806.⁶ He took shares in HEIC ships.³ He was created 1st Baronet Wigram [U.K.] on 30 October 1805.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wexford between 1806 and 1807.³ He lived at Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland.³

     Lady Helen Hamilton Douglas was born circa 1768. She was the daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ She married Sir James Hall of Dunglass, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Hall of Dunglass, 3rd Bt. and Magdalen Pringle, on 9 November 1786.¹ She died on 12 July 1837.¹
     From 9 November 1786, her married name became Hall.

     Sir James Hall of Dunglass, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir John Hall of Dunglass, 3rd Bt. and Magdalen Pringle.² He married Lady Helen Hamilton Douglas, daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton, on 9 November 1786.¹ He died on 23 June 1832.³
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Michael’s.³ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hall, of Dunglass [N.S., 1687] on 3 July 1776.¹ He was President of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.³ He was an architectural and scientific writer.³

     Lady Elizabeth Douglas was born before 1789.¹ She was the daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ She married Sir James Montgomery, 2nd Bt., son of Sir James Montgomery, 1st Bt. and Margaret Scott, on 1 August 1804.¹ She died on 28 October 1814.¹
     From 1 August 1804, her married name became Montgomery.

     Sir James Montgomery, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 October 1766.³ He was the son of Sir James Montgomery, 1st Bt. and Margaret Scott.³ He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton, on 1 August 1804.¹ He married, secondly, Helen Graham, daughter of Thomas Graham, in 1816.³ He died on 27 May 1839 at age 72.³
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1787.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peeblesshire between 1800 and 1831.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Montgomery, of Stanhope, co. Peebles [U.K., 1801] on 2 April 1803.¹ He held the office of Lord Advocate of Scotland between 1804 and 1806.³

     Lady Katherine Douglas was born before 1790.¹ She was the daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton.¹ She married John Halkett, son of Sir John Wedderburn Halkett of Pitferrane, 4th Bt. and Mary Hamilton, on 6 July 1815.¹ She died on 31 March 1848 at Richmond Hill^G.²
     From 6 July 1815, her married name became Halkett.²

     John Halkett was born on 27 February 1768.^2,3 He was baptised on 28 February 1768 at Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.³ He was the son of Sir John Wedderburn Halkett of Pitferrane, 4th Bt. and Mary Hamilton.² He married, firstly, Anne Todd, daughter of William Todd.² He married, secondly, Lady Katherine Douglas, daughter of Dunbar Douglas, 4th Earl of Selkirk and Helen Hamilton, on 6 July 1815.¹ He died in 1852.⁴
     He held the office of Governor of the Bahamas in 1801.² He held the office of Governor of Tobago between 1803 and 1805.² He had five sons by his first wife.⁵
