     Colonel Henry Adeane Erskine was born on 1 March 1857.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Erskine and Emmeline Augusta Adeane.1 He married Florence Eliza Palmer Chapman, daughter of Venerable Robert Chapman, on 8 July 1891.1 He died on 9 February 1953 at age 95.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1911.1 He was commander.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.1 He was Training Colonel and Deputy Director of Supplies in 1917.1 He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.1 He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Royal Army Service Corps.1

Henry David Erskine1
