Sir James Steuart Denholm, 2nd/7th Bt.1 
Sir James Steuart Denholm, 2nd/7th Bt. was born on 21 October 1712 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He was the son of Sir James Steuart, 1st Bt. and Ann Dalrymple.1 He married Lady Frances Wemyss, daughter of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris, on 1 October 1743 at Liberton, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He died on 26 November 1780 at age 68 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Steuart, of Coltness. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Steuart, of Goodtrees. He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He wrote the book Inquiry Into the Principle of Political Economy, published 1767.3
