He was created 1st Viscount Galway, co. Galway [Ireland] on 17 July 1727.1 He was created 1st Baron of Killard, co. Clare [Ireland] on 17 July 1727.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clitheroe, Lancashire.1 He was a Commissioner of Revenue in Ireland in May 1734.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract, Yorkshire.1 He was Surveyor-General of Woods and Forests from 1748 to 1749.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in July 1749.1

Mary Digges was born circa 1737.2 She married General Lord Robert Manners, son of John Manners, 2nd Duke of Rutland and Lucy Sherard, on 1 January 1756.2 She died on 22 February 1829.2

Nottingham [E., 1645] on 13 October 1668.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Bedchamber between 1692 and 1702.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) from March 1691/92 to 1712.1 He held the office of a Lord of Trade between 1699 and 1702.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Spain from 1712 to 1713.1 He was Ambassador to the Southern Peace Congress in 1718.1
