Angus ‘Mor’ Macdonald, Lord of the Isles1 
Are descended from the eldest s of the Lord of the Isles.2 Chiefs of the name and arms of Macdonald.2 Angus ‘Mor’ Macdonald, Lord of the Isles also went by the nick-name of Angus ‘Mor’ (or in English, ‘the Elder.1‘) He gained the title of Lord of the Isles.1 In 1263 Battle of Largs.1 In 1266 he became a vassal of the Scottish Crown under the 1266 Treaty of Perth between Magnus IV, King of Norway and Alexander III, King of Scotland.1 In 1291/92 he supported Robert Bruce’s claim to the Scottish throne.1

He inherited Islay and Kintyre, and took Bute, Arran and Gamoran (located between Ardnamurchan and Glenelg) from his brother Angus.1 He was styled as Lord of the Isles in 1180.1
