She was also known as Elizabeth of.3 Her married name became Stewart. After her marriage, Isabel of Lennox, Countess of Lennox was styled as Duchess of Albany on 3 September 1420.4 She gained the title of Countess of Lennox on 12 May 1437, suo jure.3

He was appointed Knight circa 1437.3 He was created 1st Lord of Avandale [Scotland] in 1439.1,2 He held the office of Lord Warden of the Marches between 1456 and 1460.3 He held the office of Lord High Chancellor [Scotland] between 1460 and 1462.3 He held the office of Keeper of Stirling Castle in 1467.3 He held the office of Ambassador to Denmark in 1468.3 In 1471 he was granted a life-rent on the lands of the Earldom of Lennox.3 He built the Castle of Strathaven.3 On 17 April 1479 he was legitimised.2 He held the office of Ambassador to France in 1484, jointly.3
