     Her married name became Duberly.1

     Alasdair ‘Crottach’ MacLeod, 8th of MacLeod was the son of William ‘Dubh’ MacLeod, 7th of MacLeod and unknown daughter Maclean.2 He married unknown daughter Cameron, daughter of Allan MacIldny Cameron, 12th Chief of Clan Cameron and Marion Macdonald.2 He died in 1547.1
     Alasdair ‘Crottach’ MacLeod, 8th of MacLeod also went by the nick-name of Alasdair ‘Crottach’ (or in English, ‘the hump-backed.1‘) Circa 1490 he was at war with the Macdonalds whom he defeated at Glendale in Skye.1 On 15 June 1498 he had a charter of various lands (which he had held of the Lords of the Isles) from King James IV.1 On 13 February 1539 he had another charter from King James V for Glenelg and in 1542 for Trotternish, Sleat and North Uist.1

     William MacLeod, 9th of MacLeod was the son of Alasdair ‘Crottach’ MacLeod, 8th of MacLeod and unknown daughter Cameron.2 He married Agnes Fraser, daughter of Hugh Fraser, 3rd Lord (Fraser of) Lovat and Janet Ross, on 3 March 1540/41.2 He died in 1551.2
     During the later part of his father’s life he acted as Captain of the Clan.2
