     Ian ‘Borb’ MacLeod, 6th of MacLeod was born circa 1392.1 He was the son of William ‘Cleirach’ MacLeod, 5th of MacLeod and Margaret Maclean.2 He married unknown Douglas.1 He died in 1442.1
     Ian ‘Borb’ MacLeod, 6th of MacLeod also went by the nick-name of Ian ‘Borb’ (or in English, ‘the fierce.1‘) He fought in the Battle of Harlaw on 20 June 1411, where he commanded the Clan on the side of Donald, 8th Lord of the Isles.1

     William ‘Dubh’ MacLeod, 7th of MacLeod was the son of Ian ‘Borb’ MacLeod, 6th of MacLeod and unknown Douglas.2 He married unknown daughter Maclean, daughter of John Maclean, 3rd of Lochbuie and Elizabeth Mackay.1 He died in 1480, killed in action.1
     In 1480 Battle of the Bloody Bay.1
