Ian ‘Borb’ MacLeod, 6th of MacLeod also went by the nick-name of Ian ‘Borb’ (or in English, ‘the fierce.1‘) He fought in the Battle of Harlaw on 20 June 1411, where he commanded the Clan on the side of Donald, 8th Lord of the Isles.1
