Nicholas Eden, 2nd Earl of Avon1 
Nicholas Eden, 2nd Earl of Avon was born on 3 October 1930.1 He was the son of Robert Anthony Eden, 1st Earl of Avon and Beatrice Helen Beckett.1 He died on 17 August 1985 at age 54, unmarried.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1949 and 1951 in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.3 He was Aide-de-Camp to Governor-General of Canada between 1952 and 1953.3 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel|Queen’s Royal Rifles (TA) between 1965 and 1967.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1968 in the 4th (Volunteer) Battalion, Royal Green Jackets.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Avon [U.K., 1961] on 14 January 1977.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Eden, of Royal Leamington Spa, co. Warwick [U.K., 1961] on 14 January 1977.1
On his death, his titles became extinct.1
