     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)1

     Algernon Henry Strutt, 3rd Baron Belper was born on 6 May 1883 at London, England.2,3 He was the son of Henry Strutt, 2nd Baron Belper and Lady Margaret Coke.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Eva Isabel Marion Bruce, daughter of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 26 April 1911 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1,4 He and Hon. Eva Isabel Marion Bruce were divorced in 1922.1 He married, secondly, Angela Mariota Tollemache, daughter of Hon. Douglas Alfred Tollemache and Alice Mary Head, on 12 July 1923.4 He died on 20 May 1956 at age 73.4
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Life Guards.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Belper, of Belper, co. Derby [U.K., 1856] on 26 July 1914.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Nottinghamshire.5
