Sir Arthur Edward Kennedy was born on 5 April 1809 at Cultra, County Down, IrelandG.3 He was the son of Hugh Kennedy and Grace Dorothea Hughes.1 He married Georgina Mildred Macartney, daughter of Joseph Macartney and Maria Macartney, in 1839.1,3 He died on 3 June 1883 at age 74, on board the Orient, off Aden.4,3
