She inherited her great-uncle Lord Orford’s estate at Chippenham, Cambridgeshire.1 From 9 June 1725, her married name became Sandys.1

Samuel Sandys, 1st Lord Sandys, Baron of Ombersley was born on 10 August 1695.3 He was the son of Edwin Sandys and Alice Rushout.3 He married Laetitia Tipping, daughter of Sir Thomas Tipping, 1st Bt. and Anne Cheeke, on 9 June 1725.3 He died on 21 April 1770 at age 74.4
He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcester between 1718 and 1743.3 He held the office of a Lord of the Treasury from 1741/42 to 1743.3 He held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1741/42 to 1743.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in February 1741/42.3 He was Cofferer of the Household from 1743 to 1744.3 He was created 1st Lord Sandys, Baron of Ombersley, co. Worcester [Great Britain] on 20 December 1743.3 He was Treasurer of the Chamber between 1747 and 1755.3 He held the office of Speaker, House of Lords in 1756.3 He held the office of Warden and Chief Justice of Eyre South of Trent in 1756.3 He held the office of First Lord of Trade between 1761 and 1763.3

James Hay, 2nd Earl of Carlisle1

James Hay, 2nd Earl of Carlisle was born circa 1612.3 He was the son of James Hay, 1st Earl of Carlisle and Lady Honora Denny.3 He married Lady Margaret Russell, daughter of Francis Russell, 4th Earl of Bedford and Hon. Catharine Brydges, on 21 March 1631/32 at St. Benet’s Fink, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 30 October 1660, without issue.3 He was buried on 15 November 1660 at Waltham Abbey, Essex, EnglandG.3
He was appointed Knight on 17 March 1623.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1624 at GermanyG in the Regiment of Foot.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 2 February 1625/26.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Doncaster [E., 1618] on 25 April 1636.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Carlisle, co. Cumberland [E., 1622] on 25 April 1636.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hay of Sawley, co. York [E., 1615] on 25 April 1636.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Hay [S., 1606] on 25 April 1636.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Denny, of Waltham [E., 1604] on 27 September 1637.4 In 1639 he established his hereditary right to Barbados (then called Carlisle Islands.)3 He held the office of Keeper of Epping Walk in the Forest of Waltham.3 He was Colonel of the Regiment of Horse between 1642 and 1646.3 He was awarded the honorary degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 5 March 1642.3 He was hereditary proprietor of Barbados (at that time known as the Carlile (sic) Islands), where he rode out the Civil War years.5 He lived before 1652 at BarbadosG.3
On his death, all of his titles and honours became extinct.3

Lady Anne Russell1 

Lady Anne Russell was the daughter of Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford and Margaret St. John.1 She married Ambrose Dudley, 1st Earl of Warwick, son of John Dudley, 1st Duke of Northumberland and Jane Guilford, on 11 November 1565.1 She died in 1604.
After her marriage, Lady Anne Russell was styled as Countess of Warwick on 11 November 1565. From 11 November 1565, her married name became Dudley.1
