Arthur Hill, 2nd Marquess of Downshire was born on 3 March 1753.1 He was the son of Wills Hill, 1st Marquess of Downshire and Lady Margaretta FitzGerald.1 He married Mary Sandys, Lady Sandys, Baroness of Ombersley, daughter of Colonel Hon. Martin Sandys and Mary Trumbull, on 29 June 1786.3 He died on 7 September 1801 at age 48.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Lostwithiel between 1774 and 1780.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for County Down [Ireland] between 1776 and 1793.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Malmesbury between 1780 and 1784.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1793.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Hillsborough, co. Down [I., 1717] on 7 October 1793.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Fairford, co. Henry Legge, 2nd Baron Stawell of Somerton was born on 22 February 1757.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Henry Bilson-Legge and Mary Stawell, Baroness Stawell of Somerton.1 He married Hon. Mary Curzon, daughter of Assheton Curzon, 1st Viscount Curzon of Penn and Esther Hanmer, on 1 July 1779.1 He died on 25 August 1820 at age 63.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Stawell of Somerton, co. Somerset [G.B., 1760] on 29 July 1780.3 On his death, his barony became extinct.1

Her married name became Dutton. After her marriage, Hon. Mary Legge was styled as Baroness Sherborne on 22 May 1820.
