Alexander Forbes, 1st Lord Forbes1 
He fought in the Battle of Beaugé in 1421, in the Scots contingent of the French Army.2 On 16 October 1423 he had charter of the lands of Forbes.2 He was created 1st Lord Forbes [Scotland] from October 1444 to July 1445.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
