Sir John St. Aubyn, 5th Bt. was born on 17 May 1758.3,4 He was baptised on 17 May 1758 at St. James’ Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.4 He was the son of Sir John St. Aubyn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Wingfield.3 He married Juliana Vinicombe, daughter of Martin Vinicombe and Margaret Polgrean, on 1 July 1822.5 He died on 10 August 1839 at age 81, without legitimate issue.3
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet St. Aubyn, of Clowance, co. Cornwall [E., 1671] on 12 November 1772.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cornwall from 1781 to 1782.6 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Helston between 1784 and 1790.6 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Truro between February 1784 and March 1784.6 He was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.)3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)3 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)3 On his death, his title became extinct.3
