     Lt.-Col. John Johnstone was the son of Sir William Johnstone of Westerhall, 2nd Bt. and Henrietta Johnstone.^2,3 He married Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé, daughter of Johan van den Bempden and Temperance Packer, on 1 December 1731 at St. Benet’s, Paul’s Wharf, London, England^G.^1,4 He died in 1741 at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.³ He fought in the Siege of Cartagena de Indias in 1741.¹

     Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk was born before 1550.¹ He was the son of James Johnstone of Johnstone, younger and Margaret Hamilton.¹ He married Margaret Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger and Grizel Bethune.¹ He died on 5 June 1587.¹
     He held the office of Justice-General in 1570.¹ He held the office of Warden of the West Marches from 1580 to 1581.¹ He held the office of Warden of the West Marches between 1582 and 1585.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1584.¹ He lived at Johnstone, Scotland^G.¹

     Margaret Scott is the daughter of Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger and Grizel Bethune.^1,2 She married Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk, son of James Johnstone of Johnstone, younger and Margaret Hamilton.¹
     Her married name became Johnstone.¹

     Hon. Theresa Parker was born on 29 September 1775.² She was the daughter of John Parker, 1st Baron Boringdon of Boringdon and Hon. Theresa Robinson.³ She married Hon. George Villiers, son of Thomas Villiers, 1st Earl of Clarendon and Lady Charlotte Capell, on 17 April 1798.¹ She died on 12 January 1856 at age 80.^1,4 She was buried in January 1856.³
     Her married name became Villiers.

     Sophia Askell Bucknall was born before 1789. She was the daughter of Hon. William Bucknall and Sophia Hoare.^1,2 She married Hon. Berkeley Thomas Paget, son of Henry Paget, 1st Earl of Uxbridge and Jane Champagné, on 22 November 1804.¹ She died on 18 February 1859.¹
     Her married name became Paget.

     Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger was born circa 1525.² He was the son of Sir Walter Scott, 3rd of Buccleuch and Elizabeth Carmichael.³ He married Grizel Bethune, daughter of Sir John Bethune, 2nd of Creich and Janet Hay, circa 1548.^3,2 He died before 19 May 1552.³
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.³ He lived at Branxholm, Scotland^G.

     Elizabeth Johnstone is the daughter of Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk and Margaret Scott.¹ She married Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, son of John Jardine of Applegirth and Margaret Douglas, before December 1587.²
     Sir Robert Scott of Thirlestane.² From before December 1587, her married name became Jardine.² On 23 January 1602 E) a daughter (– married (contract.² )

     Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth is the son of John Jardine of Applegirth and Margaret Douglas.² He married, secondly, Jean Stewart, daughter of James Stewart, 5th Lord Innermeath and Helen Ogilvy.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Johnstone, daughter of Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk and Margaret Scott, before December 1587.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Grey Egerton was the daughter of Thomas Grosvenor Egerton, 2nd Earl of Wilton of Wilton Castle and Lady Mary Margaret Stanley.^1,2 She married, secondly, Lt.-Gen. Dudley Charles FitzGerald-de Ros, 23rd Lord de Ros of Helmsley, son of General William Lennox Lascelles FitzGerald-de Ros, 22nd Lord de Ros of Helmsley and Lady Georgiana Lennox, on 12 October 1853.¹ She died on 14 March 1892.¹
     From 12 October 1853, her married name became FitzGerald-de Ros.¹

     David William Eastman was born on 7 August 1937.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Henry Claude Warrington Eastman and Lady Mary Agatha Campbell.² He married Antonia Catherine Dorman, daughter of Anthony Edgar Dorman and Clare Margaret Davidson, on 17 July 1969.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 Pandy Newydd, Halfway Bridge, Bangor, Gwynedd.¹
