     Sir David Ross, 7th of Balnagowan was the son of Alexander Ross, 6th of Balnagowan and Dorothy Sutherland.2 He married Helen Keith, daughter of Sir Gilbert Keith, 3rd of Inverugie, 1st of Ludquhairn and unknown wife Ogston of Ludquhairn.1 He died on 20 May 1527.1

     Alexander Ross, 9th of Balnagowan was the son of Walter Ross of Balnagowan and Marion Grant.2 He married, firstly, Janet Sinclair, daughter of John Sinclair, 3rd Earl of Caithness and Elizabeth Sutherland.1 He married, secondly, Katherine Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth ‘na cuire’ Mackenzie, 10th of Kintail and Lady Elizabeth Stewart.1 He died on 25 October 1592.1
     He also had several daughters by his second wife.1

     John Peter Parland was born in 1810 at Russia.1 He married Annette Crawshay, daughter of William Crawshay and Isabella Thompson, in 1859 at St. Martin, London, England.1 He died in 1872 at Jesmond, Northumberland, England.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Russian Imperial Guards.1
