     David Barclay of Fawside, younger of Mathers was the son of Alexander Barclay, 6th of Mathers.2 He married Janet Irvine, daughter of Alexander Irvine, 5th of Drum and unknown daughter Lindsay, in 1478.1 He died before 1497, in the lifetime of the father.1
