     Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 1st Bt. was the son of Hector Munro of Foulis and Anne Fraser.2 He married Mary Mackay, daughter of Hugh ‘Du’ Mackay of Farr, Tongue and Strathnaver and Lady Jane Gordon, in July 1619.1 He died in April 1635.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [Nova Scotia] on 7 June 1634, with a special remainder to his heirs male whatsoever.1

     Mary Mackay was born in 1595.2 She was the daughter of Hugh ‘Du’ Mackay of Farr, Tongue and Strathnaver and Lady Jane Gordon.1,3 She married, firstly, Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 1st Bt., son of Hector Munro of Foulis and Anne Fraser, in July 1619.1 She married, secondly, Alexander Gunn of Kilearnan and Navidale, 4th Mackeamish, son of William Gunn of Kilearnan, 3rd Mackeamish and unknown Sinclair, in April 1635.3
     From July 1619, her married name became Munro.1 From April 1635, her married name became Gunn.

     Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 2nd Bt. was the son of Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 1st Bt. and Mary Mackay.2 He died in December 1651 at The NetherlandsG, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] in April 1635.1

     Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 3rd Bt. was the son of John Munro and Catherine Gordon.2 He married Jean Munro, daughter of Colonel Sir Hector Munro of Foulis, 1st Bt. and Mary Mackay.1 He died on 14 January 1668.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Inverness-shire in 1649.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ross-Shire from 1649 to 1650.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] in December 1651.1
