     Ethel Burnett was the daughter of Colonel Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 12th Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Cumine.¹ She died on 10 November 1957, unmarried.¹
     She was president of the Scottish Branch of the British Red Cross Society.¹ She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹

     Mary Bertha Burnett was the daughter of Colonel Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 12th Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Cumine.¹ She died on 25 September 1898, young.¹

     Elizabeth Auchinleck is the daughter of Sir George Auchinleck.¹ She married Sir Robert Douglas, 3rd of Glenbervie, son of William Douglas, 9th Earl of Angus and Egidia Graham.²
     Her married name became Douglas.²

     Sir George Auchinleck lived at Balmanno, Perthshire, Scotland.²

     Catherine Mill is the daughter of James Mill of Balweylo.¹ She married Charles Ramsay, son of Sir Charles Ramsay of Balmain, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Falconer.²
     Her married name became Ramsay.¹

     James Mill of Balweylo held the office of Provost of Montrose.¹

     Sir Alexander Ramsay-Irvine of Balmain, 6th Bt. was the son of Charles Ramsay and Catherine Mill.² He married Mary Irvine, daughter of Alexander Irvine, 2nd of Saphock and Barbara Dundas, in 1744.¹ He died on 11 February 1806 | The baronetcy expired or became dormant (though it was assumed by two brothers in succession, of whom the parentage is unknown, viz., (Sir) James Ramsay 1806–07 and (Sir) Thomas Ramsay 1807–30) his estates to his nephew.³
     He was given the name of Alexander Ramsay at birth.² His name was legally changed to Alexander Ramsay-Irvine.³ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Ramsay, of Balmain [N.S., 1625] on 27 January 1754.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kincardineshire.³

     Mary Elphinstone was the daughter of Sir James Elphinstone, 3rd Bt. and Jean Rattray.^1,2 She married General Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone of Horn and Westhall, son of Hew Dalrymple, Lord Drummore and Anne Horn, on 9 July 1754.^2,3 She died on 3 March 1774 at Leith, East Lothian, Scotland^G.³
     From 9 July 1754, her married name became Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.²

     Sir James Elphinstone, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1710.¹ He was the son of Sir John Elphinstone, 2nd Bt. and Mary Elliot.² He married Jean Rattray, daughter of Rt. Rev. Thomas Rattray, 20th of Craighall-Rattray, on 4 October 1733.¹ He died in April 1739, without male issue.¹
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates on 23 January 1728.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] on 14 March 1732.¹ He lived at Logie Elphinstone, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³

     Sarah Brooke was the daughter of Samuel Brooke.¹ She married Charles Spearman, son of Charles Spearman and Jane Irvine, on 21 June 1790 at London, England.² She died on 12 August 1808.²
     From 21 June 1790, her married name became Spearman.²
