Major Sir Alexander Edwin Burnett of Leys, 14th Bt.1 
He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kincardineshire.1 He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 13 August 1953.1
On his death, his baronetcy became dormant. The heir is likely to be Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 7th Bt., as his heir male.1
