     General Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone of Horn and Westhall was the son of Hew Dalrymple, Lord Drummore and Anne Horn.² He married Mary Elphinstone, daughter of Sir James Elphinstone, 3rd Bt. and Jean Rattray, on 9 July 1754.^3,4 He died in 1794.²
     His name was legally changed to Robert Dalrymple-Horn.⁴ He lived at Logie Elphinstone, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.⁵ He was given the name of Robert Dalrymple at birth.⁵ His name was legally changed to Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone. He gained the rank of Colonel in the 53rd Regiment of Foot.⁴

     Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 8th Bt. was born on 22 August 1778.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.¹ He died on 16 February 1849 at age 70, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 5 January 1837.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire in 1847.¹ He held the office of Sheriff Principal of Kincardineshire in 1847.¹

     Sir Alexander Burnett of Leys, 9th Bt. was born on 17 December 1789 at Crathes Castle, Kincardineshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.¹ He died on 20 March 1856 at age 66, unmarried.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 16 February 1849.¹

     Sir James Horn Burnett of Leys, 10th Bt. was born on 22 June 1801 at Crathes Castle, Kincardineshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.¹ He married, firstly, Caroline Margaret Spearman, daughter of Charles Spearman and Sarah Brooke, on 3 February 1831.¹ He married, secondly, Lauderdale Ramsay, daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman, on 12 July 1837.¹ He died on 17 September 1876 at age 75 at Crathes Castle, Kincardineshire, Scotland^G.²
     He held the office of Writer to the Signet (W.S.) in 1824.² He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 20 March 1856.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire in 1863.² He held the office of Sheriff Principal of Kincardineshire.¹

     Margaret Burnett was baptised on 9 April 1796 at Banchory Ternan, Kincardineshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.¹ She married Captain Thomas Ramsay, son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman, on 28 April 1826.¹ She died on 17 January 1836 at age 39.¹
     From 28 April 1826, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Captain Thomas Ramsay was born on 23 February 1786 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He was also reported to have been born on 24 February 1786.³ He was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman.^1,3 He married, firstly, Jane Cruikshank, daughter of Patrick Cruikshank of Stracathro, on 9 November 1816.³ He married, secondly, Margaret Burnett, daughter of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone, on 28 April 1826.¹ He died on 17 December 1857 at age 71.³
     He was given the name of Thomas Burnett at birth.³ In 1806 his name was legally changed to Thomas Ramsay. He gained the rank of Captain in the 47th Foot.³

     Caroline Margaret Spearman was the daughter of Charles Spearman and Sarah Brooke.^1,2 She married Sir James Horn Burnett of Leys, 10th Bt., son of Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 7th Bt. and Margaret Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone, on 3 February 1831.¹ She died on 22 March 1836.¹
     From 3 February 1831, her married name became Burnett.¹

     Charles Spearman was the son of Charles Spearman and Jane Irvine.² He married Sarah Brooke, daughter of Samuel Brooke, on 21 June 1790 at London, England.² He died on 19 June 1825.²
     He lived at Thornley Hall, County Durham, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)²

     Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 11th Bt. was born on 28 August 1833 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Sir James Horn Burnett of Leys, 10th Bt. and Caroline Margaret Spearman.¹ He married Matilda Josephine Murphy, daughter of James Murphy, on 23 May 1864.¹ He died on 15 January 1894 at age 60 at Crossburn House, East Wemyss, Fife, Scotland^G, without surviving male issue.³
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 22 October 1851.³ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1856 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 17 September 1876.¹

     Matilda Josephine Murphy was the daughter of James Murphy.¹ She married Sir Robert Burnett of Leys, 11th Bt., son of Sir James Horn Burnett of Leys, 10th Bt. and Caroline Margaret Spearman, on 23 May 1864.¹ She died on 25 April 1888.¹
     From 23 May 1864, her married name became Burnett.¹
