     Anne Bardolf was born on 24 June 1389.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Bardolf, 5th Lord Bardolf and Anice de Cromwell.¹ She married, firstly, Sir William de Clifford, son of Roger de Clifford, 5th Lord Clifford and Maud de Beauchamp.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Reynold de Cobham, son of Reynold de Cobham, 2nd Lord Cobham (of Sterborough) and Eleanor Mautravers, Baroness Mautravers, before 1427.¹ She died on 6 November 1453 at age 64, without issue.¹

     Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset was born circa 1500.³ He was the son of Sir John Seymour and Marjory Wentworth.³ He married, firstly, Catherine Filliol, daughter of Sir William Filliol and Dorothy Ifield, before 1519.³ He and Catherine Filliol were divorced circa 1535.³ He married, secondly, Anne Stanhope, daughter of Sir Edward Stanhope and Elizabeth Bourchier, before 9 March 1534/35.³ He died on 22 January 1552 at Tower Hill, The City, London, England^G, beheaded.³
     He held the office of Page of Honour to Mary Tudor, Queen Consort of France in 1514.³ He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.³ He was appointed Knight in 1523.³ In 1527 he accompanied Wolsey on his emabssy to France.³ He held the office of Earl of the Body in 1530.³ He held the office of Joint Chancellor of North Wales in 1536.³ He held the office of Captain of the Island of Jersey in 1536.³ He was created 1st Viscount Beauchamp [England] on 5 June 1536, with a special remainder to heirs male to be begotten from that moment on.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1537.³ He was created 1st Earl of Hereford [England] on 18 October 1537, with a special remainder to present or future heirs male by his second wife.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1540/41.³ He held the office of Warden of the Scottish Marches between October 1542 and December 1542.³ He held the office of Lord High Admiral between December 1542 and January 1542/43.³ He held the office of Great Chamberlain from February 1542/43 to February 1546/47.³ He held the office of Lord General in the North of England in 1544, when he captured Edinburgh and Leith and ravaged Haddingtonshire.³ In February 1544/45 he defeated the French outside Boulogne.³ He held the office of Governor of the person of King Edward VI.³ He was created 1st Baron Seymour [England] on 16 February 1547, with a special remainder to his male issue by his second wife, and then to his second son by his first wife, and finally to the heirs male of any subsequent wife.⁴ He was created 1st Duke of Somerset [England] on 16 February 1547, with a special remainder to his male issue by his second wife, and then to his second son by his first wife, and finally to the heirs male of any subsequent wife.¹ He held the office of Earl Marshal on 17 February 1547.³ He held the office of Protector of the Realm from 12 March 1546/47 to 13 October 1549.³ He held the office of Captain-General of England on 11 August 1547.³ He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.³ He was found guilty of felony (seemingly formoenting a riot by the people of London.)¹ On 12 April 1552 an act of attainder was passed against him depriving him and his heirs of his ttiles.⁴

     Anne Stanhope was born circa 1497.³ She was the daughter of Sir Edward Stanhope and Elizabeth Bourchier.¹ She married, firstly, Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset, son of Sir John Seymour and Marjory Wentworth, before 9 March 1534/35.⁴ She married, secondly, Francis Newdigate after 1552.³ She died on 16 April 1587.³
     From before 9 March 1534/35, her married name became Seymour. After her marriage, Anne Stanhope was styled as Viscountess Beauchamp on 5 June 1536. After her marriage, Anne Stanhope was styled as Countess of Hertford on 18 October 1537. After her marriage, Anne Stanhope was styled as Duchess of Somerset on 16 February 1546/47. From after 1552, her married name became Newdigate.³

     Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon was born on 4 March 1525/26.¹ He was the son of William Cary and Lady Mary Boleyn.¹ He and Ann Morgan obtained a marriage license on 21 May 1545.³ He died on 23 July 1596 at age 70 at Somerset House, The Strand, London, England^G.⁴ He was buried at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England^G.³ His will (dated 21 July 1596) was proven (by probate) on 26 July 1596.³
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham between 1547 and 1552.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham from 1554 to 1555.⁴ He was appointed Knight in November 1558.⁴ He was created 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon, co. Hertford [England] on 13 January 1558/59, and was also granted the manors of Hunsdon and Eastwick in Hertfordshire and others in Kent, along with £4,000 per year.⁴ He held the office of Master of the Queen’s Hawks on 31 October 1560.⁴ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) on 22 April 1561.⁴ He held the office of Captain of the Gentlemen Pensioners in 1564.⁴ He held the office of Governor of Berwick on 25 August 1568.⁴ He fought in the rebellion of the Northern Lords in February 1569/70, where he gained a victory over Sir Leonard Dacre.⁴ He held the office of Warden of the East Marches towards Scotland on 23 October 1571, when he treated with the Regent of Scotland.⁴ He held the office of Keeper of Somerset House on 31 July 1574.⁴ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1577.⁴ He was Captain General of the forces for the defence of the borders on 16 January 1580/81.⁴ He held the office of Lord Chamberlain of the Household in July 1585.⁴ He was Lieutenant, Principal Captain and Governor of the army ‘for the defence and surety of our own Royal Person’ on 20 July 1588 at Tilbury, England^G.⁴ He held the office of Chief Justice in Eyre, South of Trent between 1589 and 1596.⁴ He held the office of Joint Commissioner for the Office of Earl Marshal in 1590.⁴ He held the office of High Steward of Ipswich and Doncaster in 1590.⁴ He held the office of Chief Justice Itinerant of the Royal Forces this side of the Trent between 20 December 1591 and 1596.⁴ He held the office of High Steward of Oxford on 2 March 1591/92, for life.⁴ On 8 October 1596 at Deptford House, London, England^G, an inquest was held.³ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁵
     

     Catherine Filliol was the daughter of Sir William Filliol and Dorothy Ifield.^1,2 She married Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset, son of Sir John Seymour and Marjory Wentworth, before 1519.¹ She and Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset were divorced circa 1535.¹
     Her married name became Seymour.

     Edward Seymour, Lord Beauchamp was baptised on 12 June 1586.¹ He was the son of Edward Seymour, Lord Beauchamp and Honora Rogers.¹ He married Lady Anne Sackville, daughter of Robert Sackville, 2nd Earl of Dorset and Lady Margaret Howard, on 21 June 1609.¹ He died circa 12 September 1618.¹ He was buried on 15 September 1618.¹
     He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was styled as Lord Beauchamp between 1612 and 1618.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1616.¹

     Francis Seymour, 1st Baron Seymour of Trowbridge was born circa 1590.¹ He was the son of Edward Seymour, Lord Beauchamp and Honora Rogers.^1,2 He married, firstly, Frances Prinne, daughter of Sir Gilbert Prinne, in 1620.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Lee, daughter of Sir Robert Lee and Anne Lowe, before 1636.³ He died on 12 July 1664.²
     He was appointed Knight on 23 October 1613.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1641.¹ He was created 1st Baron Seymour of Trowbridge, co. Wilts [England] on 19 February 1640/41.¹ He held the office of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in 1660.¹

     Lady Honora Seymour was the daughter of Edward Seymour, Lord Beauchamp and Honora Rogers.^1,2 She married Sir Ferdinando Dudley, son of Edward Dudley, 5th Baron Dudley and Theodosia Harington, on 9 July 1610.¹ She died circa March 1620.¹ She was buried on 23 March 1620.¹
     Her married name became Dudley.

     Lady Anne Howard was born between 1497 and 1545. She was the daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk and Agnes Tylney.² She married John de Vere, 14th Earl of Oxford, son of Sir George de Vere and Margaret Stafford.¹ She died before 22 February 1558/59, without issue.¹
     After her marriage, Lady Anne Howard was styled as Countess of Oxford.

     Sithric, King of Dublin was the son of Olaf Cuaran, King of Northumbria and unknown daughter of Scotland.¹ He died in 1042.¹
     He gained the title of King Sithric of Dublin.¹
