     He lived at Downing, Flintshire, Wales^G.¹

     Charles Hugh Clifford, 8th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh was born on 27 July 1819 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Hugh Charles Clifford, 7th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Mary Lucy Weld.² He married Hon. Agnes Catherine Louisa Petre, daughter of William Henry Francis Petre, 11th Baron Petre and Emma Agnes Howard, on 30 September 1845 at Thorndon Hall, Essex, England^G.³ He died on 5 August 1880 at age 61 at Ugbrooke Park, Chudleigh, Devon, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 14 September 1880, at under £180,000.³
     He succeeded as the 8th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, co. Devon [E., 1672] on 28 February 1858.¹
     He had two other daughters.¹

     Hon. Agnes Catherine Louisa Petre was born on 29 January 1826 at Grosvenor Square, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of William Henry Francis Petre, 11th Baron Petre and Emma Agnes Howard.^2,3 She married Charles Hugh Clifford, 8th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, son of Hugh Charles Clifford, 7th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Mary Lucy Weld, on 30 September 1845 at Thorndon Hall, Essex, England^G.² She died on 25 May 1891 at age 65 at 69 Onslow Gardens, London, England^G.² She was buried at Ugbrooke Park, Chudleigh, Devon, England^G.²
     Her married name became Clifford. After her marriage, Hon. Agnes Catherine Louisa Petre was styled as Baroness Clifford of Chudleigh on 28 February 1858.

     Francis Egerton Harding was born in 1856 at Torquay, Devon, England^G.² He was the son of Egerton William Harding and Hariet Georgiana Mulcaster.² He married, firstly, Frances Pauline Somers Cocks, daughter of Hon. John James Thomas Somers Cocks and Ann Simpson, on 6 July 1882.³ He married, secondly, Hon. Emma Mary Agnes Clifford, daughter of Charles Hugh Clifford, 8th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Hon. Agnes Catherine Louisa Petre, in 1889. He died on 13 May 1937.³
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Old Springs, Market Drayton, Staffordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Friedrich von der Pfalz was born in 1653. He was the son of Karl I Ludwig Kurfürst von der Pfalz and Charlotte Landgräfin von Hessen-Kassel. He died in 1653.

     Elizabeth Bourchier was the daughter of Fulk Bourchier, 10th Lord FitzWarin.¹ She married Sir Edward Stanhope, son of Sir Thomas Stanhope and Mary Jerningham.¹
     Her married name became Stanhope.¹

     Fulk Bourchier, 10th Lord FitzWarin was born on 25 February 1445.² He was the son of William Bourchier, Baron FitzWarin.² He married Elizabeth Dinham, daughter of Sir John Dinham, 6th Lord Dinham. He died on 16 September 1479 at age 34.^3,4 He was buried at Braunton, Devon, England^G.³
     He gained the title of 10th Lord FitzWarin.⁵
