     Sir James Baskerville is the son of James Baskerville.¹

     James Whitney was born circa 1466 at Whitney, Herefordshire, England.² He was the son of Robert Whitney and Elizabeth Vaughn.² He married Blanche Milborne, daughter of Simon Milborne and Jane Baskerville, circa 1490.² He died on 31 July 1500.²

     Blanche Milborne was born circa 1468 at Tillington, Herefordshire, England.² She was the daughter of Simon Milborne and Jane Baskerville.^1,2 She married, secondly, Sir William Herbert, son of William Herbert, 1st Earl of Pembroke and Frond verch Hoesgyn.² She married, firstly, James Whitney, son of Robert Whitney and Elizabeth Vaughn, circa 1490.² She died after 24 March 1547/48.²
     Her married name became Herbert.² From circa 1490, her married name became Whitney.²

     Simon Milborne married Jane Baskerville.²
     He lived at Tillington, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     John Carey, 3rd Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon was born circa 1556.¹ He was the son of Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon and Ann Morgan.¹ He married Mary Hyde, daughter of Leonard Hyde, on 20 December 1576 at Little Chesterfield, Essex, England^G.¹ He died circa 4 April 1617 at Hunsdon, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 7 April 1617 at Hunsdon, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 16 April 1617.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham between 1584 and 1586.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham from 1588 to 1589.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham in 1593.¹ He held the office of Captain of Norham.¹ He held the office of Knight Marshal of Berwick against Scotland.¹ He held the office of Warden of the East Marches.¹ He held the office of Governor of Berwick.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon, co. Hertford [E., 1559] on 8 September 1603.¹ On 10 December 1603 he had a grant of £424 p.a. for life of the King’s free gift.¹ His last will was dated 31 March 1617. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     Mary Hyde was the daughter of Leonard Hyde.¹ She married, firstly, Richard Peyton, son of Sir Robert Peyton and Frances Hasilden, before 1574.¹ She married, secondly, John Carey, 3rd Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon, son of Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon and Ann Morgan, on 20 December 1576 at Little Chesterfield, Essex, England^G.¹ She died on 4 April 1627 at St. Benet’s, Paul’s Wharf, London, England^G.¹ She was buried on 7 April 1627 at Hunsdon, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ Her will (dated 5 May 1623 to 5 May 1625) was proven (by probate) on 18 April 1627.¹
     From before 1574, her married name became Peyton.¹ From 20 December 1576, her married name became Carey.¹ After her marriage, Mary Hyde was styled as Baroness Hunsdon of Hunsdon on 8 September 1603.

     Jeanne de Penthièvre was born circa 1319. She was the daughter of Guy de Penthièvre, Comte de Penthièvre and Jeanne d‘Avangour, Comtesse de Goello. She married Charles de Châtillon, Comte de Blois, son of Guy I de Châtillon, Comte de Blois and Marguerite de Valois, in 1337 at Paris, France^G. She died on 10 October 1384.

     Guy de Penthièvre, Comte de Penthièvre was born in 1287. He was the son of Arthur II de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne and Marie de Limoges. He married Jeanne d‘Avangour, Comtesse de Goello in 1318. He died in 1331.
     He gained the title of Comte de Penthièvre.

     Leonard Hyde lived at Throcking, Herefordshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Hyde Hall, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Richard Peyton was the son of Sir Robert Peyton and Frances Hasilden. He married Mary Hyde, daughter of Leonard Hyde, before 1574.¹ He died on 13 April 1574.¹
