     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southampton between 1906 and 1922.² He held the office of Treasurer to the Household between 1909 and 1912.² He was a practising barrister.² He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1912 and 1917, to the Patronage Secretary.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.² He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1917 and 1922.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1922.¹

William Dudley Ward, son of William Humble Dudley Ward and Hon. Eugenie Violet Adele Brett, on 9 July 1913.¹ She and Rt. Hon. William Dudley Ward were divorced in 1931.¹ She married, secondly, Pedro Jose Isidro Manuel Ricardo Mones Maury, Marques de Casa Maury on 20 October 1937.¹ She and Pedro Jose Isidro Manuel Ricardo Mones Maury, Marques de Casa Maury were divorced in 1954.¹ She died on 16 March 1983 at age 88.¹

     She was a stage and film actress.¹ From 29 December 1939, her married name became Pélissier.¹ From 24 January 1948, her married name became Reed.

     Lady Clare Angela Louise Ward was born on 25 May 1916. She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. William Dudley Ward and Winifred May Birkin.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Robert Edward Laycock, son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Joseph Frederick Laycock and Katherine Mary Hare, on 24 January 1935 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ She died on 1 December 1999 at age 83.¹
     Lady Clare Angela Louise Ward also went by the nick-name of Angie.¹ Her married name became Laycock. She held the office of County Councillor for Nottinghamshire in 1961.¹ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1968.¹ She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.)¹

     Major Charles Humble Ward was born on 5 December 1879.¹ He was the son of William Humble Dudley Ward and Hon. Eugenie Violet Adele Brett.¹ He married Maidie Florence Kate Constance Hope on 20 July 1901.¹ He and Maidie Florence Kate Constance Hope were divorced in 1918.¹ He died on 8 April 1945 at age 65, without issue.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards (Special Reserve.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.¹

     Eugenie Sybil Ward was the daughter of William Humble Dudley Ward and Hon. Eugenie Violet Adele Brett.¹ She married, firstly, Captain Dermot Howard Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell, son of Maj.-Gen. Richard Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell and Henrietta Frances Kirwan, on 15 June 1901.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Maximillian David Francis Wood, son of Captain Charles Watkins Arthur Harcourt Wood, on 30 December 1911.¹ She married, thirdly, Charles Evelyn Seymour, son of Sir George Evelyn Seymour and Evelyn Elizabeth Campbell, on 25 March 1919.¹ She died on 1 November 1950.¹
     From 15 June 1901, her married name became Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell. From 30 December 1911, her married name became Wood. From 25 March 1919, her married name became Seymour.
