He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southampton between 1906 and 1922.2 He held the office of Treasurer to the Household between 1909 and 1912.2 He was a practising barrister.2 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1912 and 1917, to the Patronage Secretary.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.2 He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1917 and 1922.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1922.1

She was a stage and film actress.1 From 29 December 1939, her married name became Pélissier.1 From 24 January 1948, her married name became Reed.

Major Charles Humble Ward was born on 5 December 1879.1 He was the son of William Humble Dudley Ward and Hon. Eugenie Violet Adele Brett.1 He married Maidie Florence Kate Constance Hope on 20 July 1901.1 He and Maidie Florence Kate Constance Hope were divorced in 1918.1 He died on 8 April 1945 at age 65, without issue.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards (Special Reserve.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1
