     Catherine Courtenay was born on 7 January 1781.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Reginald Courtenay and Lady Elizabeth Howard.¹ She married Venerable Edward Berens on 30 December 1805.¹ She died on 21 November 1865 at age 84.¹
     Her married name became Berens.

     Anne Courtenay was born on 31 March 1784.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Reginald Courtenay and Lady Elizabeth Howard.¹ She died in 1818, unmarried.¹

     Lady Frances Charlotte Courtenay was born on 7 September 1790.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Reginald Courtenay and Lady Elizabeth Howard.¹ She married Reverend Edward Bouverie, son of Hon. Bartholemew Bouverie and Mary Wyndham Arundell, on 20 November 1811.¹ She died on 29 March 1854 at age 63.¹
     Her married name became Bouverie.

     Colonel Eugene St. John Birnie was the son of Cyril Montague Birnie.¹ He married Lady Marguerite Kathleen Courtenay, daughter of Reverend Frederick Leslie Courtenay, 16th Earl of Devon and Marguerite Silva, on 22 November 1933.¹ He died in 1976.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Harold Cecil Morton Horsley was the son of Harold Richard Horsley.¹ He married Lady Angela Leslie Courtenay, daughter of Reverend Frederick Leslie Courtenay, 16th Earl of Devon and Marguerite Silva, on 18 January 1947.¹ He died on 9 November 1969.¹
     He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He was with the Malayan Civil Service.¹

     Major Thomas Anstey is the son of Major Alfred Anstey.¹ He married Lady Evelyn Frances Courtenay, daughter of Reverend Frederick Leslie Courtenay, 16th Earl of Devon and Marguerite Silva, on 17 October 1936.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment, Royal Artillery.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹

     Anna Maria Laura Courtenay was born on 26 February 1881.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay and Laura Georgina Courtenay.¹ She married Major Edward Osborn Amstrong Newcombe, son of unknown Newcombe, on 14 September 1909.¹ She died on 30 November 1964 at age 83.¹
     Anna Maria Laura Courtenay also went by the nick-name of Nita.¹ Her married name became Newcombe.

     Major Edward Osborn Amstrong Newcombe was the son of unknown Newcombe.² He married Anna Maria Laura Courtenay, daughter of Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay and Laura Georgina Courtenay, on 14 September 1909.¹ He died on 15 May 1941.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Timothy Patrick Bowes-Lyon, 16th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne was born on 18 March 1918.¹ He was the son of Patrick Bowes-Lyon, 15th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Lady Dorothy Beatrix Godolphin Osborne.¹ He married Mary Bridget Brennan, daughter of Peter Brennan, on 18 June 1958.¹ He died on 13 September 1972 at age 54.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Black Watch.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Bowes of Streatlam Castle, co. Durnam, and of Lunedale, co. York [U.K., 1887] on 25 May 1949.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne [S., 1677] on 25 May 1949.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne [U.K., 1937] on 25 May 1949.¹ He succeeded as the 23rd Lord Glamis [S., 1445] on 25 May 1949.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Lord Lyon and Glamis [S., 1606] on 25 May 1949.¹

     Mary Bridget Brennan was the daughter of Peter Brennan. She married Timothy Patrick Bowes-Lyon, 16th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, son of Patrick Bowes-Lyon, 15th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Lady Dorothy Beatrix Godolphin Osborne, on 18 June 1958.¹ She died on 8 September 1967.¹
     After her marriage, Mary Bridget Brennan was styled as Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne on 18 June 1958. From 18 June 1958, her married name became Bowes-Lyon.
