     Sybil Venetia Taylor was the daughter of Captain John Vickris Taylor and Sybil Mary Hopkinson.^2,3 She married, firstly, Mark Everard Pepys, 6th Earl of Cottenham, son of Kenelm Charles Edward Pepys, 4th Earl of Cottenham and Lady Rose Nevill, on 19 January 1927.⁴ She and Mark Everard Pepys, 6th Earl of Cottenham were divorced in 1939. She married, secondly, Charles Christopher Courtenay, 17th Earl of Devon, son of Reverend Frederick Leslie Courtenay, 16th Earl of Devon and Marguerite Silva, on 29 July 1939.³ She died in November 2001.³
     She was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ Sybil Venetia Taylor usually went by her middle name of Venetia.³ After her marriage, Sybil Venetia Taylor was styled as Countess of Cotterham on 19 January 1927. From 19 January 1927, her married name became Pepys.¹ From 29 July 1939, her married name became Courtenay.² After her marriage, Sybil Venetia Taylor was styled as Countess of Devon on 29 July 1939.

     Marguerite Silva was the daughter of John Silva.¹ She married Reverend Frederick Leslie Courtenay, 16th Earl of Devon, son of Henry Reginald Courtenay, Lord Courtenay and Lady Evelyn Pepys, on 9 January 1907.¹ She died on 4 May 1950.¹
     Her married name became Courtenay. After her marriage, Marguerite Silva was styled as Countess of Devon on 8 February 1935.

     John Silva lived at Itchen Abbas, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Dianna Frances Watherston was born at Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.² She is the daughter of Jack G. Watherston.¹ She married Hugh Rupert Courtenay, 18th Earl of Devon, son of Charles Christopher Courtenay, 17th Earl of Devon and Sybil Venetia Taylor, on 9 September 1967.¹
     From 9 September 1967, her married name became Courtenay.² After her marriage, Dianna Frances Watherston was styled as Countess of Devon on 19 November 1998.

     Charles Peregrine Courtenay, 19th Earl of Devon was born on 14 August 1975 at England.¹ He is the son of Hugh Rupert Courtenay, 18th Earl of Devon and Dianna Frances Watherston.¹ He married Allison Joy Langer, daughter of Gary Langer.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was styled as Lord Courtenay between 1998 and 2015.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1999 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He graduated from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 2001 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Devon [E., 1553] on 18 August 2015.³ He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Courtenay [E., 1645] on 18 August 2015.³

     Jack G. Watherston lived at Menslaws, Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham was born in 1714.¹ He was the son of Francis Howard, 1st Earl of Effingham and Diana O’Farrell.¹ He married Elizabeth Beckford, daughter of Peter Beckford and Bathsuba Hering, on 14 February 1744/45.¹ He died on 19 November 1763.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Effingham, co. Surrey [G.B., 1731] on 12 February 1742/43.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Howard of Effingham, co. Surrey [E., 1554] on 12 February 1742/43.¹ He held the office of Deputy Earl Marshal.¹

     Elizabeth Ruth Middleton Scott was the daughter of Reverend John Middleton Scott and Lady Arabella Barbara Brabazon.¹ She married William Courtenay, 10th Earl of Devon, son of Rt. Rev. Henry Reginald Courtenay and Lady Elizabeth Howard, on 30 January 1849.¹ She died on 17 March 1914.¹
     After her marriage, Elizabeth Ruth Middleton Scott was styled as Countess of Devon on 30 January 1849. From 30 January 1849, her married name became Courtenay.

     Reverend John Middleton Scott married Lady Arabella Barbara Brabazon, daughter of Anthony Brabazon, 8th Earl of Meath and Grace Leigh.¹
     He lived at Ballygannon, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹ He was also known as Reverend John Scott.²

     Lady Arabella Barbara Brabazon is the daughter of Anthony Brabazon, 8th Earl of Meath and Grace Leigh.¹ She married Reverend John Middleton Scott.¹
     Her married name became Middleton Scott.
