Mary Wyndham Arundell was born in 1757.1 She was the daughter of Hon. James Everard Arundell and Ann Wyndham.1 She married Hon. Bartholemew Bouverie, son of William de Bouverie, 1st Earl of Radnor and Rebecca Alleyne, on 9 March 1779.1 She died on 22 February 1832.1
From 9 March 1779, her married name became Bouverie.

William Hillier Onslow, 4th Earl of Onslow was born on 7 March 1853 at Old Alresford, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of George Augustus Cranley Onslow and Mary Harriet Anne Loftus.2 He married Hon. Florence Coulston Gardner, daughter of Alan Legge Gardner, 3rd Baron Gardner and Julia Sarah Hayfield Fortescue, on 3 February 1875 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 23 October 1911 at age 58 at Hendon, London, EnglandG.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Cranley of Cranley, co. Surrey [U.K., 1801] on 24 October 1870.3 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Onslow, of Onslow, Shropshire [U.K., 1801] on 24 October 1870.3 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Onslow [E., 1674] on 24 October 1870.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Onslow, of Onslow, Shropshire [G.B., 1716] on 24 October 1870.3 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Cranley of Imbercourt, co. Surrey [G.B., 1786] on 24 October 1870.3 He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of High Steward of Guildford in 1875.3 He was vice-president of the Colonial Conference in 1887.3 He was delegate to the Sugar Bounties Conference in 1887.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1887.3 He held the office of Under-Secretary of the Colonies between 1887 and 1888.3 He held the office of Parliamentary Secretary, Board of Trade between February 1888 and December 1888.3 He held the office of Governor-General of New Zealand between 2 May 1889 and February 1892.2 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, India Office between 1895 and 1900.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1899.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey.3 He held the office of Member of the Surrey County Council.3 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Colonial Office in 1900.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.3 He held the office of Under-Secretary of the Colonies between 1900 and 1903.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1903.3 He held the office of President of the Board of Agriculture between 1903 and 1905.2 He held the office of Deputy Speaker, House of Lords between 1905 and 1911.3 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography.2
