     General Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester was the son of Christopher Carleton and Catherine Ball.2 He married Lady Maria Howard, daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham and Elizabeth Beckford, on 21 May 1772.2 He died on 10 November 1808.2
     He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Canada between 1766 and 1770.2 He held the office of Governor of Canada between 1775 and 1778.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the forces in America between 1781 and 1783.2 He was created 1st Baron Dorchester, of Dorchester, co. Oxford [Great Britain] on 21 August 1786.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Lady Maria Howard was the daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham and Elizabeth Beckford.1,2 She married General Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester, son of Christopher Carleton and Catherine Ball, on 21 May 1772.3 She died on 14 March 1836.3
     From 21 May 1772, her married name became Carleton.3

     Hon. Thomas Powlett Orde-Powlett was born circa 1787.1 He was the son of Thomas Orde-Powlett, 1st Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle and Jean Mary Browne-Powlett.1 He married Letitia O’Brien, daughter of Henry O’Brien, on 7 February 1811.2 He died on 31 January 1843.1
     He was given the name of Thomas Powlett Orde at birth.2 In 1795 his name was legally changed to Thomas Powlett Orde-Powlett.2 He lived at Bolton Hall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1

Letitia O’Brien1

     Letitia O’Brien was born illegitimately before 1802.1 She was the daughter of Henry O’Brien.1 She married Hon. Thomas Powlett Orde-Powlett, son of Thomas Orde-Powlett, 1st Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle and Jean Mary Browne-Powlett, on 7 February 1811.2 She died on 9 March 1859.2
     From 7 February 1811, her married name became Orde-Powlett.1

     Elizabeth FitzRoger was born in 1370.2 She was the daughter of John FitzRoger and Alice Cheddar.1,2 She married, firstly, John Bonville, son of Sir William Bonville and Alice Cheddar.2 She married, secondly, Richard Stucley, son of John Styeucle and Agnes (?).3 She died on 18 April 1414.2
     Her married name became Stucley.3 Her married name became Bonville.2
