     Robert de Umfreville, 9th Earl of Angus was born before 1277.1 He was the son of Gilbert de Umfreville, 8th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Comyn.1 He married, firstly, Lucy de Kyme, daughter of Sir Philip de Kyme, 1st Lord Kyme and Joan le Bigod.1 He married, secondly, Alienor (?)1 He died in March 1325.1 He was buried at Newminster Abbey, Morpeth, Northumberland, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Angus [S., c. 1115] circa October 1307.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Umfreville [E., 1295] circa October 1307.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Angus [E., 1283] circa October 1307.1 He held the office of Joint King’s Lieutenant and Keeper in Scotland on 21 June 1308.1 He held the office of Joint Guardian between Berwick and the Forth on 16 August 1308.1 He was a Commissioner to treat with the Scots on 14 November 1308.1 He was a Commissioner to treat with the Scots on 16 February 1309/10.1 He was a Commissioner to treat with the Scots on 22 February 1315/16.1 He was a Commissioner to treat with the Scots on 18 March 1317/18.1

     Sir Hugh le Bigod was born circa 1211.2 He was the son of Hugh le Bigod, 3rd Earl of Norfolk and Matilda Marshal.3 He married Joan de Stuteville, daughter of Nicholas de Stuteville and Devorguilla of Galloway, from 1241 to 5 February 1243/44.3 He died in 1266.3
     He held the office of Chief Justiciar of England.1
