     Nicholas Coulthurst was born in 1835 at Gargrave, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of John Nicholas Coulthurst and Catherine Mary Tempest.¹ He died in 1909 at Southsea, Hampshire, England.¹

     Louisa Monica Coulthurst was born circa 1869 at Quebec, Canada.¹ She was the daughter of Nicholas Coulthurst.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Henry Maxwell Sloggett, son of Charles Sloggett and Mary Cannon, on 23 September 1896 at St. Jude’s Church, Southsea, Hampshire, England.¹ She died in 1963.¹
     From 23 September 1896, her married name became Sloggett.¹

     Lt.-Col. Henry Maxwell Sloggett was born on 21 July 1858 at Simla, Bengal, India.¹ He was the son of Charles Sloggett and Mary Cannon.¹ He married Louisa Monica Coulthurst, daughter of Nicholas Coulthurst, on 23 September 1896 at St. Jude’s Church, Southsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He died in 1919 at Bournmouth, Hampshire, England.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹
