     Hon. Frances Christian Balfour was born on 13 January 1946.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Arthur Balfour, 2nd Baron Riverdale and Christina Mary Hill.¹
     She was educated at Wycombe Abbey School, England.¹ She was educated at New Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Francis Henry Balfour was born on 25 August 1905.¹ He was the son of Arthur Balfour, 1st Baron Riverdale and Frances Josephine Keighley Bingham.¹ He married, firstly, Muriel Anne Berry, daughter of Rear-Admiral Ralph Berry, on 30 March 1932.¹ He married Daphne Cecelia Moss, daughter of A. C. Moss, in 1971.¹ He died on 13 December 1994 at age 89.¹
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery (TA.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was Vice-Consul for Denmark between 1947 and 1960.¹ He was awarded the Knight, Order of Dannebrog.¹

     Elizabeth Carmichael was born circa 1515.¹ She married John Somerville, 3rd of Cambusnethan, son of Sir John Somerville, 2nd of Cambusnethan and Lady Margaret Graham.¹ She died in 1552.¹
