     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Cheshire Regiment.¹

     Kathleen Todd is the daughter of C James Todd.² She married Major Arthur Rowland Hill, son of Colonel Arthur Hill and Katharine Emily Morris, in 1908.¹
     From 1908, her married name became Hill.

     Christina Mary Hill was born on 17 June 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Major Arthur Rowland Hill and Kathleen Todd.² She married Robert Arthur Balfour, 2nd Baron Riverdale, son of Arthur Balfour, 1st Baron Riverdale and Frances Josephine Keighley Bingham, on 9 February 1933.¹ She died in 1991.¹
     She graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 9 February 1933, her married name became Balfour.¹ After her marriage, Christina Mary Hill was styled as Baroness Riverdale on 7 July 1957.

     Robert Arthur Balfour, 2nd Baron Riverdale was born on 1 September 1901.¹ He was the son of Arthur Balfour, 1st Baron Riverdale and Frances Josephine Keighley Bingham.¹ He married, firstly, Nancy Marguerite Rundle, daughter of Rear-Admiral Mark Rundle, on 1 September 1926.¹ He married, secondly, Christina Mary Hill, daughter of Major Arthur Rowland Hill and Kathleen Todd, on 9 February 1933.² He died on 26 June 1998 at age 96.¹
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was Consul for Belgium, in Sheffield Area between 1945 and 1998.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sheffield in 1950.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Balfour [U.K., 1929] on 7 July 1957.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Riverdale, of Sheffield, co. York [U.K., 1935] on 7 July 1957.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of South Yorkshire in 1959.¹ He was director of National Provident Bank between 1964 and 1969.¹ He was director of YTV between 1967 and 1973.¹

     Alison Kathleen Hill was born on 28 July 1911.¹ She is the daughter of Major Arthur Rowland Hill and Kathleen Todd.² She married Henry Seaward Morley, son of Henry Forster Morley, on 6 September 1934.¹
     From 6 September 1934, her married name became Morley. She lived in 2003 at Fife House, Heath Drive, Walton-on-the-Hill, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Henry Forster Morley graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Henry Seaward Morley is the son of Henry Forster Morley.² He married Alison Kathleen Hill, daughter of Major Arthur Rowland Hill and Kathleen Todd, on 6 September 1934.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at Church Hill House, Midhurst, Sussex, England.¹

     John Henry Morley was born on 5 November 1936.¹ He is the son of Henry Seaward Morley and Alison Kathleen Hill.² He married Felicity Faith Beryl Peile, daughter of John Peile, in 1963.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.² He graduated from Downing College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Derwent Lodge, Oldfield Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, England^G.¹
