Thomas Alexander Fraser, 12th Lord (Fraser of) Lovat1 
He was created 1st Baron Lovat of Lovat, co. Inverness [U.K.] on 28 January 1837.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Inverness-shire between 1853 and 1873.1 He succeeded as the 12th Lord Lovat [S., c. 1464] on 13 August 1857.1 On 13 August 1857 he received the Lordship of Lovat on reversal of the attainder (following his petition 32 years earlier.)1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1865.1
