     Reverend William Hepburn was born in 1672/73.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Hepburn of Keith and Jeane Cockburn.¹ He married Isobell Lessels, daughter of William Lessels, on 24 August 1694 at Arngask, Fife, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 12 April 1717 at Fowlis Wester, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹
     He was the Minister at Fowlis Wester, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Isobell Lessels is the daughter of William Lessels.¹ She married Reverend William Hepburn, son of Sir Robert Hepburn of Keith and Jeane Cockburn, on 24 August 1694 at Arngask, Fife, Scotland^G.¹
     From 24 August 1694, her married name became Hepburn.¹

     William Lessels lived at Forgandenny, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     John Ireland married Marion Hepburn, daughter of George Hepburn of Alderston and Grissel Hay, before 1643.¹

     Jean Ireland was baptised on 16 June 1643 at Bendochy, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Ireland and Marion Hepburn.¹ She married William Congalton of that Ilk, son of Patrick Congalton and Beatrix Johnston, on 28 April 1664.¹
     She was also known as Jane.¹ From 28 April 1664, her married name became Congalton.¹
