     He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Black Watch.¹

     Brigadier Henry Beveridge Latham was born circa 1893.¹ He was the son of Thomas Ringrose Latham.¹ He married Evelyn Helen Anne Arbuthnot, daughter of Andrew Carmichael Arbuthnot and Jessie Evelyn Lambert, on 19 December 1942.¹ He died on 26 June 1977.¹
